Tooth extraction services are available to anyone wanting to know the age of an animal but are not comfortable removing the required teeth. For this option, you may send in an entire mandible or a portion of the mandible containing the required tooth type, such as an incisor bar for hooved mammals. Once the lab receives the jaw or portion of the jaw, we will extract the teeth required for cementum analysis. Jaws may be fresh with as much soft tissue removed as possible prior to shipping, or dried. Any requests to have jaws returned following extraction must be made directly with the lab prior to shipping, and any associated shipping costs will be the responsibility of the customer.
Our lab is not processing samples over the summer months, we are still accepting submissions, which will be queued for prompt processing starting in September.
