ClassGraphic Course Description:
This course includes the definitions of human trafficking as embedded in the Criminal Code, includes the elements and signs of human trafficking, and identifies the trafficking of persons protocol.

Learning Outcomes:
  • Recognize the extent of human trafficking of Indigenous women and girls locally and nationally
  • Differentiate between human trafficking, exploitations, and smuggling
  • Acknowledge the vulnerability of Indigenous persons in terms of human trafficking
  • Be aware of the Criminal Code legislation that is connected to human trafficking
