Math for the Trades - Construction

Course Description
This microcredential is a review of math concepts and skills required for success in carpentry, welding, and pipe trades. Topics include percentages, volume, converting decimals and fractions, trigonometry, and algebraic equations. 
 
Outcomes:

• Perform conversions between decimals and fractions for both imperial and metric units
• Calculate percentages to determine grade, slope, and efficiency
• Calculate volume and capacity of tanks and pipes in both metric and imperial units
• Perform trigonometry and algebraic equations to determine unknown measurements in hanger spacer, offsets, and corners
