ClassGraphic Course Description
This microcredential is a review of math concepts and skills required for success in the transportation trades. Topics include measurement, range tolerances, basic algebra, fractions, degrees, Ohm's law, and ratios.
 
Outcomes:
  • Take accurate measurements using automotive tools such as micrometers and calipers
  • Apply the concept of range tolerances to automotive applications
  • Solve algebraic equations related to force, pressure, area, Ohm's Law, and Watt's Law
  • Apply knowledge of decimals, fractions, and degrees to automotive contexts
  • Analyze electrical circuits in automotive systems
  • Calculate and interpret compression ratios and gear ratios
