ClassGraphic Course Description
This microcredential is a review of math concepts and skills required for success as an electrician and wind turbine technician. Topics include current flow, resistance changes, solving for unknown variables, electrical circuit problems, trigonometry, and phase relationships. 
 
Outcomes:
  • Apply the concepts of direct and indirect proportion to electrical trade scenarios, such as calculating current flow and resistance changes
  • Accurately transpose electrical formulas to solve for unknown variables
  • Solve basic electrical circuit problems, including series, parallel, and series-parallel circuits
  • Use trigonometry to construct and interpret impedance and power triangles
  • Use the Cartesian plane to graphically represent and interpret voltage, current, and phase relationships in AC circuits
